Weather watch
Racing starts on Saturday and it looks to be a lighter forecast than normal.
Typically, San Francisco is a very windy, fast racetrack, but it looks like it'll be more of a medium wind – similar to what we had on Saturday in Los Angeles.
Hopefully we'll have 12 boats back on the line. I know that the Danish team is trying to get their F50 ready as quickly as possible, after their collision with a mark in LA.
LA reflections
We'll be looking to bounce back after a tough Sunday and continue to build on what we started on Friday and Saturday in Los Angeles.
I don't think we're going to change any of our processes, but we'll be looking to execute our game plan.
We executed our game plan really well on Friday and Saturday in LA and we didn't execute it very well on Sunday.
It's nice to see that when we execute our game plan the results come, but when we don't, they don't.
So I don't think it's a change in game plan for this weekend. It’s about refocusing on what we need to do – looking at a lot of game tape and getting ready to go.
Trawling the footage
One of the major strengths of this league is that we have access to all the other teams' data and onboard video.
We'll be focused on that all week – getting ready, so that we can basically step on the F50 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and kind of act as if we've been there all week racing, through reviewing video footage.
Sensational San Francisco
San Francisco is one of the most iconic race stadiums for high-speed sailboat racing in the world, with the Golden Gate Bridge, the city, the hills and Alcatraz.
Being able to have another home race – on back-to-back weekends, in a double header in front of our home fans – will be awesome.
San Francisco really appreciates high-speed sailing and it's a perfect venue for it, at one of the most iconic race tracks in the world.
See you on the water,
Mike
