Olympian Anna Weis is the first woman to serve as a full-time grinder and jib trimmer in SailGP, proudly breaking boundaries for the U.S. SailGP Team. After undergoing surgeries on both arms in early 2019, Anna staged a remarkable comeback, capturing gold at the Pan American Games in Lima on the Nacra 17 and securing her place at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Dedicated to inspiring young women to stay in sports and pursue their dreams, Anna embodies determination and inclusivity at the highest level of competition. Her pioneering role and tireless work ethic matches the U.S. SailGP Team’s mission to make sailing more accessible and serve as an inspiration for a new generation of fans and athletes.
